A downloadable game

Play through a 5-10 minute experience revolving around the life of Yamato Takeru. Throughout this experience, you will get to learn the key parts of Yamato's life as well as travel to iconic landmarks such as the Ise Shrine and Mount Ibuki. This project is a school project that has been created by myself in the span of roughly 6 months. Everything was made by me except for music/audio, some of the animations (provided by mixamo.com), as well as the main font used for the game.

Install instructions

To download and play, simply download the ZIP folder. Once downloaded, extract the folder and you will see the contents of the game. Once visible, click the executable file called 'Chronicles_Yamato_Takeru.exe' Once clicking this, windows may say the file is not safe (standard protection since I am not verified through Microsoft), so you will need to click 'more info' on the bottom left and then click 'Run Anyways'. Then you will be in the game, enjoy!

V0.1 - Initial release of Chronicles: Yamato Takeru

V0.2 - Adjusted enemy placement, as well as range of fire. Adjusted level 3 balancing, adjusted audio volume.

V0.3 - Fixed a bug where the Wind Lift ability would not heal the player. Wind lift now heals the player when coming in contact with enemy arrows.

V0.31 - Adjusted some variables and added in some balances. Player abilities now fade away after a set amount of time, arrows die off after a set amount of time, and each of the players abilities now have a unique set speed.

V0.32 - Fixed collision issues with dead enemies as well as some other minor tweaks with the player's abilities.

V0.4 - Fixed collision issues on the second level, player no longer floats randomly throughout level.

V0.5 - Updated some visual collision issues on Level 3, as well as making better lighting and updating the enemies arrows. There were some dialogue changes as well to make it easier to tell who is talking. Dialogue and mid level transition cutscenes can also now be passed using the spacebar. 

V0.6 - Updated the boss fight as well as other minor tweaks. The boss and player now both visibly and audibly take and deal damage to each other. The boss also is now more balanced and exhausts more frequently as well as having a slower movement speed. The player also can punch more often in the boss fight. Level three had some minor tweaks and adjustments and the pause screen UI is now fixed. Player can no longer spam audio when pausing. Pause audio was also turned down to a more reasonable volume.

V0.7 - Took out all developer key bind shortcuts for skipping the final cutscene and gaining/losing health.

so nice but stage 3 so hard

Thank you for playing it! I am working out some things right now and should be uploading another build here soon with gameplay balances and some minor bug fixes.
